Wrestling is an ancient combat sport that pits two wrestlers against each other. Utilizing a variety of takedowns, clinches, holds, throws and other moves, wrestlers compete against each other by weight class. A great aspect of wrestling is that athletes will compete against other athletes that are similar in weight, making it the perfect sport for anyone to compete in. While many view wrestling as an individual sport, the team aspect of wrestling is like no other. Wrestling teaches you sacrifice, discipline, dedication, and hard work. It is often considered the most difficult sport to train and compete in. Wrestling will challenge you while pushing you to your limits. Lessons learned from wrestling will help prepare you for all the challenges life will throw at you.
Wrestling is for anyone, no matter what level of experience. Whether you have been wrestling for 6 years or want to try something new and challenging. We offer both a boys and girls wrestling team and girls wrestling is the second fastest growing sport in the U.S.
Tryout information: We do pre-season and post-season work for wrestling to work around other athletic commitments. Our real season goes from the beginning of November to the end of February. We do not hold try-outs. We are open to anyone as long as you work hard, bring a positive attitude and are willing to learn and contribute to the team.
